NYC Together serves as an alternative to suspension for 3 local High Schools.
We coordinate days that have an arts component followed by service and discussion for police officers, youth and the entire community.
Modeled after “Build the Block” meetings, these dinners connect youth with justice involvement, NYPD leadership, local influencers and formerly incarcerated people. Topics include: gun/gang violence, police-community relations, social issues that lead to criminal acts, civic engagement, and decision making.
We focus our resources and efforts to evaluate local social issues and where they intersect with the NYPD to provide tangible and measurable solutions that elevate the social justice tenets of members of the NYPD.
